PADI Assistant Instructor Program

The Assistant Instructor course is designed to provide PADI Divemasters with additional training as instructional assistants and dive educators. This course builds upon the divemaster's abilities to organize and supervise dive activities while concentrating on developing teaching skills. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical application, candidates learn to construct effective teaching presentations and conduct scuba education programs.

Course Overview
The training consists of three phases that include:

    1. 7 sessions of academic training.
    2. Independent study for knowledge development.
    3. Practical application.

  • Certified PADI Divemaster or Equivalent

  • Have completed and logged at least 60 open water dives

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Submit an approved form for diving-medical examination conducted by a licensed physician
